SeaSentry Forschung & Entwicklung
Innovating Maritime Surveillance
Coastal surveillance plays a vital role in ensuring maritime safety and environmental protection. But traditional systems often depend on active sensors and onboard transmitters – costly, power-intensive, and limited in range. The SeaSentry research project takes a different approach: developing a robust, land-based passive ship detection system that identifies vessels by listening to their own radar emissions. No additional onboard equipment. No interference. Just intelligent sensing powered by AI.

StorAIge Forschung & Entwicklung
Pushing the Limits of Edge AI
Artificial intelligence is increasingly moving closer to where it matters, leaving the cloud and entering devices and sensors on-site. But how can powerful AI be made to run on microcontrollers with just a few kilobytes of memory? This is the challenge that StorAIge, a major EU-funded research initiative bringing together leading European partners, has tackled. As part of this project, our team has developed cutting-edge, memory-efficient Edge AI algorithms, paving the way for smarter, faster and more autonomous systems across a range of industries.

BaSys4Maintain Forschung & Entwicklung
Advancing Predictive Maintenance in Industrial Systems
Predictive maintenance is becoming essential for keeping modern production systems efficient, reliable, and competitive. Yet many machine components, such as precision ball screw drives, remain difficult to monitor without deep integration into machine controls. The BaSys4Maintain research project tackles this challenge by bringing together AI, intelligent sensing, and digital twins to enable predictive maintenance as a local, real-time service.
